I want to thank you for writing to me regarding H.R. 5843, the Act to Remove Federal Penalties for the Personal Use of Marijuana by responsible Adults. It is important to me to hear the views of my constitutents in order to best represent the 15th Congressional District of Texas.
As you know, the 110th Congress has now concluded and we will be swearing in a new Congress in the coming days. While H.R. 5843 was not addressed during the previous legislative session, I can assure you that I will keep your views in mind when legislation regarding the personal use of marijuana is pending in the 111th Congress.
Again, thank you for writing to me, feel free to contact me regarding this issue of any other issue that concerns you. I look forward to working on behalf of you, and all the people of South Texas, in the upcoming legislative session.
