Topics: Politicians on Pot, Rep. Zach Wamp, Republican, TennesseeMarijuana is a very dangerous drug and the legalization of it is a controversial issue. Our nation is looking for ways to prevent our young people smoking cigarettes while also dealing with the enormous health costs associated with long-term smoking. If we were to simultaneously eliminate society’s attempts to restrict marijuana smoking, we would be sending mixed messages to our young people and encouraging an expensive as well as destructive habit. It is also very dangerous for anyone attempting to drive on our streets, operate hazardous equipment, or pilot public transportation such as commercial aircraft while under the influence of mind altering drugs. The rights and protections to our society always need to be weighed with individual rights to engage in destructive behavior.
Warmest Regards,
Zach Wamp
Member of Congress

pilots can’t afford marijuana!
1. Wamp is running for Governor.
2. Wamp has the support of evangelicals.
3. Wamp is a big government tool.
4. I wouldn’t vote for Wamp if he was the last democrat in the republican party.
5. He has an unapologetic combover, and his platform sucks.
So did you hear that this shit’s dangerous? I don’t know about you guys but I’m going back to whiskey and Paxil. Dangerous? Don’t want noooo part of that. Thank you Rep. WAMP!
(Just the way that name sounds as pronounced by the little voice in my head just slays me. WAMP! ZACK WAMP!)
Kind of a Socialist thought from a Republican dont you think….
“The rights and protections to our society always need to be weighed with individual rights to engage in destructive behavior. ”
So just so I have this right… Individuals are basically property of their peers and only have rights if the peers approve of it???
Wamp is a big government tool, and yet Republicans are backing him. Check his web page.
So why is alcohol legal again?
What a sad and lonely existence it must have been for those last few neanderthals.
what a freaking PIGOT !!!!!
Why do they act like the Driving and fling argument wioll work? Its not like we are suggesting that anyone fly a plane while high!
And the cost to society is already here, whether we want to make it worse by arresting people or make it better by taxing and educating them the cost is still here now.
I cant wait for all these bone headed legislatiors to get voted out of office all because of their ignorance of marijuana and the faild policy of arresting consumers because of lies and misinformation set in place by these same men.
