Sometimes the best things arent made, they just happen. A simple mixture of good friends, drinking beer, burning some fatties and discusing the music that mattered to them and generally having a good old fashioned rock and roll time. That pretty much sums up Greenleaf and its birth into the Stoner Rock/Ambient Metal world. Making it happen with a grueling schedule of other projects, a 4 song EP was quickly recorded in 2000, followed by 2001′s full length “Revolution Rock,” and a slew of European tour dates.
Although Greenleaf is not a full time band and seldom plays shows, due to band members obligations to DOZER (another cool band), GREENLEAF has a reputation as an amazing live band with everyone giving it their all at absolutely every show. Greenleaf from Sweden, signed to Small Stone Records, can be described as KISS meets BLACK SABBATH meets ZZ TOP meets PINK FLOYD!
The song “10,000 Years of Revolution” is a great example of what can happen when friends don’t stop friends from smoking weed, drinking beer, and jamming. Enjoy some GREENLEAF!
