Thank you for your letter expressing your opinion on the legalization of marijuana.
Please know that I do not support the legalization of any narcotic drugs, including marijuana. My convictions on this matter have been developed over many years of experience in criminal justice, including nine years as a mayor who worked very closely with the law enforcement community. I know the tragedy that drug abuse causes in the lives of the addicted and on victims of drug-related crimes and their families. I have seen the devastation drugs can inflict on a community.
I do recognize that marijuana may have medicinal properties that could alleviate conditions such as AIDS-related wasting and chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. I do not oppose further research on the potential medical efficacy of marijuana and support compassionate use in medical situations when prescribed by a physician in writing for serious and/or catastrophic illnesses.
Again, thank you for taking the time to write. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 224-3841. I also urge you to utilize my website, http://feinstein.senate.gov, to keep up to date with current Senate activities and the work I am doing for California.
Sincerely yours,
Dianne Feinstein
United States Senator

Politicians on Pot
Click here to find what the politicians in your state think about medical marijuana, consumer cannabis, and industrial hemp. Vote Smart!

Marijuana in not a Narcotic, but Alcohol is, doubt she has an issue with that. In fact I know for a fact she is in favor of the wineries. I may agree with some things she has done, but I disagree on too many things for her to get my vote.
As a CA-D, I like Senator Boxer. I have disliked most positions/votes of Feinstein (aka DiFi) as Senator from the day she started. Every single subject I ventured in email received a mealy reply like that: “thanks for your letter”, “please note I do not … agree”, “please write again”. She only represents billionaire republicans (small r, like Arnie, Meg, Carly, and her hubby), not regular tax paying Californians. I won’t ever vote for her, and I promise the “work she is doing for CA” is .
umm.. marijuana is not a narcotic. With all your experience that you proudly tout, you should at least know your enemy. You know better. It’s time to vote you and your ilk out. Enough of the lies and hysteria.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein have attended one or more conferences organized by the Bilderberg Group.
no wonder she is against
legalization.
She is not living in the real world. She and her husband are very rich and I don’t know how she keeps getting re-elected.
Hopefully we can bring in someone new next time. She has got to go along with Boxer too.
Sounds like her message was paid for by the GOP.
Agreed. I hope she’s enjoying her last term in the U.S. Senate, I will not vote for her the next time around (and will get as many people that I know to do the same).
Yeah this wench needs to be voted out. If you wants to maintain archaic views on an obvious miricle plant while protecting her law buddies, pharma buddies and on and on then she needs to do it on her own and not as a representative of a state which will most likely be the first to legalize marijuana, obviously no thanks to her.
she is fuckin stupid
Corrupt
Can we please vote her out next time around?
Idiot.
