To be perfectly honest. Ive used pot on and off for 25 yrs. I like my brain function just the pot makes it. If I need to do something important I don’t use. Pregos don’t need to smoke pot.. Drink Milk it does a body good. Take care of your baby. Use a Vaporizer to protect your lungs. Most men over 42 have a little issue with blood pressure. Keep a job pay your bills. Stop smoking when needed.

Just curious, has anyone ever bothered to correct her?
I think I’m going to write her just so I can respond to that B.S. reply.

Okay well maybe someone can provide someone insight for me. Next month we will be voting on Texas senators and I could use some idea on who is for medicinal marijuana so I can vote them for them or do some more research at least.

Actually, no. Cocaine is a Schedule II substance with medically approved use. Schedule I substances, like cannabis, LSD, ecstasy, mushrooms, and PCP have “no medical use”.

Remember in the 60′s,when we said if only women could get into positions of power. Wow ! We were gullible in our youth . Look at Michele Leonhart ! Wow ! Look at Michelle Obama ? I see Nancy Reagan with a “just say no” parrot style that teabag Laura Ingraham mocks, yet is the Reagan elitist temperament of illogical imperialism.

That’s an interesting comment about schedule 1 drugs and all but the fact is you can go to most hospitals and find cocaine…another schedule 1 substance which does have a medically approved use. Funny how that is.

I believe I sent her a letter as weel quite some time ago. no response of any type.

In my letter, I proposed the idea of legalizing with a license type of system. $100 bucks a year to be able to lawfully posess reefer (not just for medical). Even higher to open a shop to sell. I’m guessing that are at least 1 million people who do, or would smoke weed (if it was not frowned upon by jobs). That is $100 million a year in revenue for the state, which could go directly to giving our teachers, and others much needed raises, or go towards repairing our roads, or anything of that sort. It seems obsurd to me that the failure to recognize and understand the massive economic benefits of legalizing marijuana could have on this state, let alone the country. I always hear about the violence from drug cartels on the border. legalize pot, and criplle them, and they will go away.

The creation of a new outlook on this countries drug laws needs to be up for serious consideration. I can get drunk every night of the week, put innocent motorists in harms way when I leave a bar, and still manage to get a job just about anywhere, but if I smoked a joint a night, in the privacy of my own home, I am a criminal who can’t get a job because of drug testing. As it stands, our jails are overcrowded because of drug offenses, Our country spends about 50 billion a year on the Drug War, We have more people hooked on drugs than the Netherlands, Our crime rate is higher, our schools are worse, and our medical system is worse.

To all you people in elected office, WAKE UP and do your jobs by representing your constituents, and not some god damned fairytale existence. Us “dope heads” are not stupid, and we do know how to vote. All those bullshit above the influence commercials are polluting your simple minds, and the mass majority is getting fed up with your acceptance of lobbyists donations for your own personal good and not the good of the ones who put you in office. Do some fucking research, and go out in the public and ask people how they feel about things. Because you like it does not mean everyone else does.

Wont be voting for her then. She needs to educate herself on the real benefits of Cannabis, instead of the lies that she’s been taught.

our legislators expect those older people living in the “REEFER MADNESS” Era to take this to heart. Unfortunately the elderly believe all this false propaganda. Hell everything she states in her statement is a disclaimer in every new pharmecuetical commercial on TV. They need a disclaimer , Marijuana does not, because it does none of the things she stated

I wrote her back when Texas was considering lowering the criminal class and her letter back contained the words “I believe we are winning the war on drugs :loco: ” Anyone who really believes that, aside from having their head stuck in the ground, does not represent me.

“Currently, marijuana is classified in the Schedule I category under the Controlled Substances Act. These substances have no accepted medical use in the United States and have a high potential for abuse, which legally restricts them from being used for any reason, including medicinal purposes.”

The U.S. government has been distributing medical cannabis for decades.

In addition the harmful chemical in marijuana, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), has been linked to low birth weight and impaired motor development in children whose mother’s use marijuana.

I’m sure that’s why the FDA “…has approved the active ingredient-THC-in the form of scientifically regulated Marinol.”

Dang, all those changes to the site, but still no preview before posting.
