Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns about marijuana use. I appreciate hearing from you.Let me begin by saying that I understand and respect the strong feelings on both sides of this debate. I firmly believe that we have a responsibility to cultivate an environment that protects our children from drug use that could derail their future. In any debate regarding marijuana use, we must be mindful to ensure that we give parents and teachers the resources to teach children how to live healthy lives. It is my firm belief that by educating young people about public health issues, they will be more likely to make healthy life choices. And of course, we must always instill in them a respect for our laws.
As you may know, states across the country have been engaged in the debate over the appropriate laws and regulations regarding the use and possession of marijuana. I believe that in general, the appropriate forum for this debate is on the state level, and I support the right of states to administer their own laws regarding marijuana.
I value the input of fellow Coloradans in considering the wide variety of important issues and legislative initiatives that come before the Senate. I hope you will continue to inform me of your thoughts and concerns.

Bennett’s Boulder campaign headquarters are based in a building with a dispensary sign on the front. The man is on board.
He doesn’t seem to be against. At least he isn’t using the federal government as an excuse to dodge the issue.
Whatever the question was re marijuana use, this guy artfully dodges it. Nor is there any reference to marijuana or cannabis on his website.
He might as well have said “no comment”.
so is he for or against?
