I am the producer of The NORML Network, the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog, and NORML's Outreach Coordinator. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" and I travel across the country to educate people on marijuana reform. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to give voice to the Marijuana Nation and to speak for those who can't speak up.
While I fully support the movement to end prohibition, I am not OK with planting wed in our public lands at this point. I think these areas should remain forest without growers messing them up, I understand that some of this is due to prohibition, however, this often times creates trash in the forest, as well as a physical danger from people guarding their grows. So , I don’t support CAMP and their heavy handed efforts, but we need to be good citizens in order to further our cause. We can not claim moral high ground(rightly) on so many facets of this issue, yet cheer on these criminal growers, that create problems in our forests.
Just my two cents,
Bikehard
Good points, just remember we don’t see any clandestine vineyards, hops fields, and tobacco plantations in our national forests, do we?
Americans would much rather plant marijuana in outdoor home gardens and commercial fields than in national forests.
