I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.

Could we/you/someone, Please attempt to arrange a polling nationally of supporters of Cannibis reform/legalization?
We have been held back by failure to attach a ballot measure and then thru the smearing and misrepresentations out voted regarding legal reforms.
What we need to do is to SHOW the true numbers supporting this with out the parlimentary blockage.
I suggest a straw poll shown thru the sales of rolling papers in a day, week, or month, and resulting tallies collected thru the businesses for display to all Americans just how many of their friends and neighbors are already users, and not burning and killing and raping as per the allegations from DEA and AG offices.
Another posibility would be a lottery game where purchasing a ticket or scratcher would equate one vote, and only allow one day sales, to prevent massive “voter” fraud. OR, lastly a computer site voter site where a tally could be accrued and multiple votes disallowed.
This would require some PR to put it into the mainstream eyes both before during and after. April 20 would have been ideal, but, July 4 would be a dandy as well.

Please would someone do something to have this tried?
