Download the NORML Daily Audio Stash for 2008-04-01

Tuesday is Government at Work day on the podcast, and coming up after the news, we’re going to the American Midwest to speak with attorney Don Fiedler in Omaha, Nebraska. Don fills us in on the attempt by the Nebraska legislature to re-criminalize cannabis possession in the state.

After that I’ve got the first song emailed to me by a listener! It’s a trippy little song called “Jack Herer” and it’s by a group of medical marijuana patients in California that have formed their own band called The Dixon Chicks. Remember, we’re always looking for music for the podcast, so if you’ve got a toker-friendly tune that’s ready to be heard by thousands of people worldwide, send it to me at stash@norml.org.

And to end the show, we sit down with Brian Murphy from the Aloha State to discuss the changes to Hawaii’s medical marijuana law being proposed in their legislature.

So sit back and relax with your favorite strain – this is the Daily Audio Stash.

I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.
