Stash for Wed, Dec 16, 2009 | The NORML Stash Blog

I am the producer of The NORML Network, the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog, and NORML's Outreach Coordinator. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" and I travel across the country to educate people on marijuana reform. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to give voice to the Marijuana Nation and to speak for those who can't speak up.

Thank You for the support and for the information.
Can you provide a list of the Transplant programs that have a less draconian policy?
I have been kicked off the OHSU Transplant List for a single failed pee test. Their testing level is down to 4 ng / ml. I have a Med Can card and am not breaking Oregon law, have never used Intravenious drugs, very seldom have used Booze, used less than a quarter of an oz. in 30 years and am now considered an addict and worthy of a Medical Death sentence.
If you add to the following that I got Hep-C from a Transfusion of Junkie blood from a Physician it could seem quite ironic.
The OHSU Doctors have declared that the Michigan findings are irrelevant and the criteria to change their decision Would require 10,000 Liver Patients with half made to use Cannabis for the first time. Tell me -Is this even possible? :-(
They are quite happy to prescribe massive amounts of Opiates and allow Methadone patients to live but have closed their hearts and minds to those that would avoid addiction by using a non addictive and totally non-lethal herb.
I believe that I must find an alternative program if I am to extend my life. Thank you for listening to my rant .
My only excuse is that I feel that I must put this in stark terms to reach those that have closed minds and think that somehow we Medical Cannabis patients are just wanting to trick them to get high. Yeah RIGHT!!
    Sincerely,
    MAX Patient
