Wow! tim, that’s a very sad story, this isĀ  something very personal, this people are not respecting peoples lives, i’m so freaking mad that i don’t know what are we all waiting for, everybody should get together in hundreds of thousands or even millions and protest and throw rocks and bottles to whatever gets in our way.because if you try to do it peacefuly they won’t listen, i guess we have to use some violence in order for them to pay attention.

Wow Tim, that’s one of the most messed up things I’ve ever heard!

The federal marijuana prohibition doesn’t yield a single benefit to society, but its harms are everywhere and endless. :(

I just wanted to let everyone know about my story that is similar to this. Back in 2002 while attending the University of Central Florida on a full academic scholarship, my roommate was dealing small amounts of marijuana basically to cover his costs of smoking (my randomly assigned roommate). A buddy of mine called me one day asking if I knew anyone that could get him a quarter. My roommate indeed had the marijuana, but his car was broken down so I had to drive him to my buddy’s place to drop it off. What I did not know was he had gotten busted for havin 2 pot plants at his house and was told he could set up a few people to get out of trouble. So me and my buddy went over and he was sitting in his garage with a “friend” drinking a beer. The second the exchage went down (for only a quarter of weed!!) 3 undercover cars came out of no where and cops with masks and laser sights drawn on our chests telling us to get on the ground. They tell us we can either go to jail right now, or we can agree to help set up 3 seperate drug transactions. They asked us if we had scholarships and let us know we would lose them if we did not cooperate. Scared as hell of getting kicked out of school and arrested of course we agree. But we did not even have to go to the station and sign paperwork or anything binding us to these cops and what we were doing. I was to set someone up in 3 days for at least 500 extasy pills for my first bust. I was to find the person with these drugs and everything. I had never done any harder drug besides marijuana and here they were trying to get me to find someone to buy extasy. Day after day the cop (His name is Joe Spall with the orange county police department) called me basically threatening me that I was going to go to jail if I didn’t set someone up soon. He would call up to 5 times a day asking for updates. I was just a 20 year old college kid! I was so scared to a point where I decided I was just going to committ suicide. It had only been a week of the cop harrassing me and one night I found a suicide hotline on some website and emailed my situation to them and how I was going to kill myself because it was all too much (what do you expect out of an immature young adult). A gift was sent from God because what I did not know was my mom was monitoring my email. She read my suicide letter (email) to the website the next day and before I knew it she was on my door step crying and letting me know she didn’t care about the pot bust, she had already called our attorney, and that all she wanted was for me to be alive and safe. She could not believe the cops were basically trying to make me a criminal. I ended up taking a plea and getting probation for 6 months and its not even on my record. And the cop was making me think I’d lose everything. I’m just glad I did not lose my life like Rachel. People do not know the extent these cops go to put innocent people in harms way just to bust some low profile drug dealer. I wasnt even the one dealing, it was my roommate, I just simply did him a favor by driving him, and thats what got me into the same situation rachel was. You do not have to be a big time dealer or even a dealer at all to be put in this situation. This whole situation put a lot of stress on me and I ended up failing out of college the next semester and never finished. Before that happened I had never even gotten a C in all my life in school. These cops ruin lives.
