Taco customer finds marijuana in takeout bag

Taco customer finds marijuana in takeout bag :
Local News : The Rocky Mountain News

A customer got more than he bargained for – a small bag of suspected marijuana – when he stopped the other night at a Lakewood restaurant to pick up food for his wife, police said.

The couple called police after they opened the bag of food and found the surprise inside, police spokesman Steve Davis said.

Police went to the Del Taco Restaurant, 5240 S. Wadsworth Blvd., and questioned the employee who had waited on the husband at the drive- up. The worker denied the marijuana was his, but a small amount of marijuana was found in a backpack in his locker, Davis said.

The worker, Dennis Klermund, 26, was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, Davis said.

“No, I said I wanted the taco with extra green sauce, not extra green pot!”  How come I never get such good service when I go to Del Taco?

I wonder if this was one of those deals where the drive-thru guy is selling weed on the side and just put it in the bag of one customer too soon in line.

I also wonder why the guy is bringing his stash to work instead of storing it in his car’s trunk, and why he allowed law enforcement to search his private work locker and his personal backpack?  You do know you can say NO to police searches, right?
