There exists a paradigm for the medical / wellness use of substances, and it lies in the realm of doctors and pharmacists and prescriptions and manufactured drugs. However, there also exists a paradigm for the recreational use of substances, and it lies in the realm of taverns and bartenders and DUI laws and ID checks and home brewing.

Study Finds Chemical in Cannabis To Help You Remember
The effect of weed on your short term memory has long been a standard in any cannabis-comedy routine. Now, researchers are unlocking the effect of cannabis on memory. A new study that was recently published in the British Journal of Psychiatry suggests that the variations in the chemical makeup of different strains of marijuana are associated with different levels of cognitive impairment while high.
Study: cannabidiol proves effective in fighting brain cancer in the lab
We observed that plant-derived cannabinoids inhibit the proliferation of human glioblastoma cell lines. Compared with Δ9-THC, cannabidiol was significantly more potent at inhibiting cancer cell growth. This finding is in agreement with studies using models of aggressive breast cancers. This is incredible news that may lead to further breakthroughs in cancer research. However, as exciting as this is, we’d be remiss in not mentioning that the government had conducted trials at the University of Virginia, funded by grants from the National Institute of Health, back in 1974 showing that cannabis had promise as an anti-cancer therapy.
