Music: Machine Love - “Stoner Girl”

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

Net Works

Today on the stash I am sending some love your way. MACHINE LOVE is the name of the San Francisco duo who bring their brand of space rock to the stash with today’s song, “Stoner Girl”. This smooth, groovy electric track has no lyrics, but its inspiration is made clear in the title. Machine Love consists of Vincent James on Drums, Keyboards and Electronics along with Jim Hedges on Electric and Acoustic Guitars. It’s this mix of computer-created sounds alongside the live guitar music that gives Machine Love their sound. A love song for the new age, a synthesized bouquet of digital flowers for the stoner girl in your life.

Music: Bradley - “So High”

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

BradleyHello all you beautiful stashers! Need a smooth music hit to get you through the middle of the week? It’s no secret to our community that some of the smoothest strains come right out of British Columbia, so one can only expect some smooth BC grooves to follow. From green-friendly Vancouver, Canada BRADLEY brings us to mellow like 420 on a Sunday. This track from his album “Pink Pill Program” is a soothing blend of indie rock and electronica. “So High” sets a mood perfect for a friendly basement cannabis party. Bradley plays frequently in Vancouver, so take a peek at his page for time and dates. Let him know you heard him here on the stash! His page can be found here .

Music: “High” by Empire State Human

Monday, February 11th, 2008

I found this group’s song by doing a search and typing in “high”. It’s sort-of electronica-trancey and the lyrics are not particularly about marijuana… but with a nice indica you could probably just close your eyes and pretend.
