Stash for Mon, Oct 5, 2009

Monday, October 5th, 2009 at 2:17 pm | By: Radical Russ

I hope you don’t mind if your Stash is a little early. My beloved Twelve Time World Champion Mighty Green Bay Packers are playing the Vikings on Monday Night Football, and I’m right across the street from a fantastic sports bar where I will enjoy watching my defense go after their quarterback. In case you’re wondering, here’s what the people of Wisconsin think of #4 these days…

    Festivus Holiday – No Stash

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008 at 10:02 pm | By: Radical Russ

I celebrate… Festivus.  It is today, December 23.  We gathered around the Festivus Pole and had the Airing of the Grievances.  Then as the male of the household, I was required to compete in the Feats of Strength.  After successfully pinning my brother, my wife, and my two dogs, we set about today’s tasks.

As Portland is still filled with drifted snow and ice packed roads, I offered up to my fellow board members of Oregon NORML the use of my 4×4 Jeep chauffeurring to get around town.  They have other holiday shopping to complete and two-wheel drive cars that would get high centered just trying to get on the roads.  From 10am to 7pm we drove about town at 15mph (with chains) and it was great to be out of the house and experiencing Arctic Blast 2008 (local news headline winner) with friends.

Then I returned to my DVR to watch the Not-BCS Bowl with my alma mater undefeated Boise State Broncos.  Well, previously undefeated.  They lost by 1 point.  The night after my Packers implode in Chicago.  Another Festivus miracle!

I have a new interview with Dr. Earleywine plus a special Cannabis Christmas Music collection for tomorrow’s Stash.  But for today, I’m sorry, no Stash – it’s a Festivus for the rest of us!

    Arrived in Denver

Friday, August 22nd, 2008 at 10:15 am | By: Radical Russ

So after twenty hours of driving Cannabis Karri and I have arrived in Denver for the start of the Democratic National Convention.  Guess who will be performing here on Tuesday?  Our good friend Willie Nelson!  Perhaps I can pull a NORML string or two and get some backstage audio for you.  (I ain’t Toby Keith; I’ll gladly smoke weed with Willie!)

Today I am in full Au Gratin Cheesehead mode to attend the Packers/Broncos pre-season game.  I’m staying with friends who used to live in Phoenix, and in 2000 we all attended a Packers/Cardinals pre-season game (see pic at left… I was thinner then!).  I guess this is out once-every-eight-years tradition.

Thanks to all of you Stashers who have been leaving comments and sending emails during this two-week Stash break.  I’m going to have so much audio and video for you from the Dem Convention and Seattle Hempfest, and then the very next weekend is Portland Hempstalk.

Brett Favre retires from Green Bay Packers

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008 at 8:19 am | By: Radical Russ

I know, you’re thinking, “So what does this have to do with marijuana?”

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Brett Favre has decided to retire from the NFL after 17 seasons. FOX Sports first reported Tuesday that the Green Bay Packers quarterback informed the team in the last few days. ESPN.com said that according to Favre’s agent the quarterback told coach Mike McCarthy of his decision.

Well, nothing really. I’m just a huge Green Bay Packers fan and this is really bumming me out today. However, I do have some thoughts on what this does have to do with marijuana… click on the link below to read the
