This week on the Stash we’re going to be speaking with NORML’s executive staff on the current state of marijuana reform in the upcoming administration.  Keith Stroup, founder and legal counsel of NORML, joins us to discuss the breaking news of the People v. Mentch decision regarding medical marijuana caregiver status in California.

Then we conclude our interview from Friday with Mike Gray, author of Drug Crazy, on the escalating corruption and violence in the drug war in Mexico.

Join us tomorrow for Allen St. Pierre’s two-part discussion of Obama’s recent cabinet picks and Prop 215 co-author and NORML Legal Committee attorney Bill Panzer will examine the Mentch decision.  Wednesday we visit with Dr. Mitch Earleywine and conclude the St. Pierre interview.  Then it’s Thanksgiving, and there will be no Stash for Thursday and Friday.

Today we sail on into the weekend with Steve Bloom from CelebStoner, who just had an exclusive interview with the director of the new documentary, “High: The True Tale of American Marijuana”, which is now out on DVD.

Then to stay in the entertainment field, we visit with Mike Gray, author of “Drug Crazy” and acclaimed screenwriter.  He’s written an op-ed in the San Diego newspaper detailing the insidious rot of corruption and violence the drug war has created in Mexico.  Today is part one and you’ll have to wait for Monday’s podcast for part two.  Ooh, a cliffhanger!

Wednesday is Cannabis Science day on the Stash, and coming up after the news, we’re separating the stems of propaganda from the buds of truth with Dr. Mitch Earleywine. Today Dr. Mitch has a message for the prime minister of the United Kingdom, Gordon Brown, who is considering upgrading the classification of cannabis from a fine-only drug to one that can get you arrested, despite his panel of experts recommending against it.

My name is Inigo Montoya. You stole my Stash. Prepare to die!Cannabis Karri is back for our musical break this hempday humpday with some reggae from a group called “Pirate Radio”. The song is called “The Dread Pirate Roberts”, and it just makes me wonder if one of the band members isn’t named “Inigo Montoya”.

Then we wrap things up with Mike Gray of Common Sense for Drug Policy, the acclaimed filmmaker and screenwriter and author of Drug Crazy. Mike is promoting a new educational DVD entitled Clergy Speak Out on the War on Drugs and it is a powerful look at the rabbis, priests, and ministers who work on the front lines of the drug war every day and deal with the people left hopeless by addiction.

So welcome to the show, grab your best glass and sit back with your favorite strain… This is your NORML Daily Audio Stash.
