An Albuquerque police officer who shot and killed a suspect after a traffic stop last week is in hot water for something he posted on his Facebook page.
Detective Trey Economidy III had listed “human-waste disposal” as his occupation on his Facebook page.
NM Medical Cannabis Law Will Continue For Now; Gov. Opposes
New Mexico’s medical marijuana program will continue for now, although the state’s new Republican governor has made it clear she dos not support the law, which allows people with certain medical conditions to use cannabis.
Gov. Susana Martinez said during her campaign that the state’s medical marijuana law puts state employees in the position of violating federal law and she’d like it repealed, reports the Associated Press.

New Mexico proposes new medical marijuana grow fees, rules
The agency now proposes an annual fee based on how long a grower has operated, ranging from $5,000 for producers licensed for less than a year up to $30,000 for those licensed for more than three years.
Producers also are upset the state did not propose raising the current limit on the amount of medical marijuana they can have – 95 mature plants and seedlings and enough inventory of medical marijuana to meet the needs of current patients.
