Ron White: 7/8ths of a gram of marijuana

Thursday, May 28th, 2009 at 12:20 pm | By: Radical Russ

NASHVILLE (Billboard) – Comedian Ron White’s new album, “Behavioral Problems,” recently debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Comedy Albums chart. But White, who made a name for himself on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy, says the new album will be his last.

“Behavioral Problems” (Capitol Nashville) touches on material as diverse as bidets (”Fifty million gay men can’t be wrong”), his bust for possessing seven-eighths of a gram of marijuana (“When I have seven-eighths of a gram of marijuana, I consider myself to be out of marijuana”) and writer Norman Mailer, who died at 84 after a life in which he drank daily, smoked pot, was married six times and stabbed his second wife (”I’ve never read one of his books, but I got to tell you, I’m a huge fan”).

They Caught the Tater: Comedian Ron White Busted for Marijuana

Thursday, September 11th, 2008 at 11:19 am | By: Radical Russ

WRCB Channel 3 Chattanooga News, Weather | They Caught the Tater: Comedian Ron White Busted for Marijuana
Comedian Ron White’s run-ins with the law make up a big part of his act on the popular “Blue Collar Comedy Tour”.

Now he’s got some fresh material.

White was arrested for marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia in Vero Beach, Florida on Wednesday.

Police say an anonymous tipster informed them that a plane carrying a passenger in possession of illegal drugs would be arriving at the Vero Beach Airport at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

White and the pilot were the only ones on board.

Officers say White was carrying less than three grams of marijuana, along with a pipe.

He was arrested and later released after posting $1,000 bond.

Hmm.  You’re traveling alone with the pilot and an “anonymous tipster” knows you’re carrying <3g of pot (less than one tenth of an ounce… I’ve rolled joints bigger than 3 grams!)  Just how “anonymous” could this person be?  He obviously wasn’t popped by TSA at the airport before flying to Vero Beach.  Somebody close to Ron White has it in for him, in my opinion.  An ex-wife, perhaps?
