Music: It’s a Rap Friday – ‘Sinner’ by Big B

Friday, March 27th, 2009 at 4:20 pm | By: Marijuana Music Awards

Sinner' by Big BAmerica’s most notorious white trash renegade returns with his fourth Album, “American Underdog” which dropped this week!

Raw and honest as always, Big B’s brand of outlaw hip-hop has returned with a few new tricks, ensuring it will go down as one of Suburban Noize best albums.

The new Album features the Kottonmouth Kings and includes the hugely popular song, ‘Sinner’, being featured as today’s Toker Tune.

In his music, Big B confronts personal demons, touts his perseverance in the rap game and speaks of the days of street hustling. He’s evolved musically to be one of the most diverse artists in the underground scene.

Big B has earned his fans by touring non-stop with everyone from Tech N9ne on the sold out Strange Noize Tour to Kottonmouth Kings.

High energy artist Big B will soon be on the Bring the Noize Tour and later in the year will be on the Jeigermeister Tour.

This 330 pound hip-hop outlaw from Las Vegas, tattooed from neck to knees, is ready to kick ass and take the name as the one true “American Underdog”.

To grab Big B’s new CD “American Underdog”, check out suburbannoizerecords.com or Big’s B at myspace.com/hooliganbigb and feedbigb.com and music shops internationally!

Music: Daddy X – “Higher Than High”

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009 at 12:21 am | By: Radical Russ

daddyx_organicsoulToday has been so hectic that I completely forgot about scouring the net for the best in stoney music (or, at least what I can play without paying massive royalties.)  So someone from Suburban Noize Records always comes through!

This is a tune from Daddy X of the Kottonmouth Kings, from his solo album “Organic Soul”.  I really dig the rock-riff Zep-like groove of this tune and I’m surprised I haven’t played it before, unless I already have and I’m just too spaced from the blood donation to remember.

    Music: Sen Dog – “Fumble”

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008 at 11:40 am | By: Radical Russ

I’ve been talking with the crew from Suburban Noize Records and I told them I saw a poster for the Strange Noize Tour coming through Portland.  One of my Stash favorites, my homie The Dirtball from Bend, Oregon, is on the tour along with some other heavyweights, including OPM, who you’ll hear from this Friday.

James let me know also that Sen Dog, former emcee with reefer-rap superstars Cypress Hill, has a new debut solo album dropping at the end of this month called “Diary of a Mad Dog”.  So I pulled the strings and worked the Stash mojo and got my hands on a pre-release copy of Sen Dog’s latest.

So now it’s time for some slammin’ rap from the Cuban-born Senen Reyes, a.k.a. Sen Dog, who fronts the entire album with only minimal help from a few Cali pals like Tangled Thoughts, DJ Ace, Johnny Richter of Kottonmouth Kings, and B-Real of Cypress Hill.  The opening track, Fumble, incorporates rock, techno, house, and rap with Sen Dog’s eclectic groove, where he raps about having it all then having nothing and what you’ve got to do to get back on your feet, survive and thrive.

For more on Sen Dog, check out his MySpace page.  “Diary of a Mad Dog” drops on September 30 and you can get more on that at Suburban Noize Records.  No downloads available for this track – sorry, you’ll have to wait until 9/30 (or just enjoy it in today’s Stash).

It’s Friday, May 16th and it’s 4:20 somewhere in the world! I’m your host, “Radical” Russ Belville and this is your NORML Daily Audio Stash.

We have another extra-special Stash for you to take into the weekend. First, CelebStoner.com’s Steve Bloom checks in with a report from the MPP Fundraiser in New York City.

Then for our musical break we have a special interview with Suburban Noize Records artist The Dirtball. His new CD, “Crook County”, has dropped this week and we’re going to bring you the new single, “Mushroom Cloud”. Even though The Dirtball’s hometown, Bend, Oregon, out there in Crook County (seriously), is a three-hour drive from NORML West Coast Media HQ, I’m still going to call him my homeboy.

To conclude the podcast we’ve got a special interview with Kevin Booth, the writer/director of the phenomenal drug war documentary, “American Drug War: The Last White Hope”. If you haven’t seen the movie, you need to. It may still be running on Showtime or you can get your copy online, or in your local video store on Tuesday, May 27th.

Finally, don’t forget that every Saturday we’re now posting the NORML Weekend Music Stash, where you can get all of the last ten songs from our daily musical breaks in one podcast, suitable for your weekend party pleasure. If you have a band that would like to be featured on our podcast, please send us an email at stash ‘at’ norml.org.

So sit back and relax with some OG Kush and enjoy your NORML Daily Audio Stash…
