If your strategy to legalize the use of plant cannabis by all people for any reason is to preach “All use is medical/wellness”, cannabinoid pharmaceuticals is where you’ll end up. There exists a paradigm for the medical / wellness use of substances, and it lies in the realm of doctors and pharmacists and prescriptions and manufactured drugs. However, there also exists a paradigm for the recreational use of substances, and it lies in the realm of taverns and bartenders and DUI laws and ID checks and home brewing.

This Irie Wednesday brings a buoyant electronically inspired track by Sweden’s DJ Skuddy. There isn’t much information to be found about this artist — it appears he is as underground and DIY as they come. On his YouTube page, 20-year-old Skuddy paints himself as a multigenre mixmaster and DJ who mashes together bits of reggae, electro, progressive house, happy hardcore, hip hop and more. The result is something that, strangely, leaves an irie feel.

Named after the 70′s underground artist Baeka Buick, Baeka started out some years ago with the aim to create their own brand of psychedelic house music.
Now they are one of Sweden’s finest electronica acts with a style including dub-jazz, dub-house, cut-up-disco and cut-up-everything that listeners have described as “some of the strangest and warped house music” ever heard.
