Launching Sat. Sep. 5 - Labor Day Weekend

NORML SHOW LIVE will be a two-hour live program airing on CBS Streaming Radio’s “Chat About It .com” channel, as well as AOL (America Online) Music and Yahoo! Music Launchcast, every Saturday night from 9pm-11pm Eastern / 6pm-8pm Pacific.

CBS’s six New York City-based terrestrial radio stations will be promoting the channel, including the market-dominating news channels 1010 WINS and 880 WCBS, as well as presenting the channel on those stations’ websites.

Sorry, Stashers, there will be no podcast for today.  I began the day looking at a dearth of good marijuana news stories.  “That’s OK,” I thought, “because I’ll have Eric’s California Marijuana Report on today and it’s pretty long, so I can do shorter news stories.”

Then Eric emails me to let me know that technical difficulties are preventing him from sending me the CMR.  “That’s all right,” I figured, “because I’ll still have my scheduled interview for the day, and I can run long with it.”

Then my interviewee emails me to tell me she needs to reschedule.  “Hmm,” I thought (yes, I “hmm” to myself in my head), “I guess I’ll pull up some repeat interviews from the archives.  At least I’ll have a new tune to play.”

Then Tam emails me to let me know she injured her back and is unable to sit at the computer and send me a Daily Toker Tune for today.

That’s it, three strikes and the podcast is OUT!

On the bright side, I did get to speak to a major network radio producer in New York today about the possibility of making the Stash a two-hour live call-in show every Saturday night.  Would you accept losing a Daily Stash in trade for a weekly “The NORML Show” that you could call in to, and would still be able to download as a podcast after Saturday?  If so, please leave a comment on this post to that effect and I’ll show my bosses the level of interest…
