You are being asked to participate in a research study designed to investigate the potential relationship between various personality characteristics and illicit drug and nonmedical prescription drug use. The study is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Mitch Earleywine, Department of Psychology through the University at Albany.
Your participation in this research study involves completing several computerized questionnaires pertaining to your personal characteristics, emotions, interests, and behaviors (including your likes, dislikes, use of legal and illegal drugs, and participation in risky behaviors).
Participation in this study is expected to take about an hour, depending upon your internet connection speed. At the end of the survey you will have the opportunity to enter your email address for inclusion in a raffle for a first prize of $250 worth of amazon.com gift cards or a second prize of 1 of 5 4GB iPod Nanos (a $150 value).
Click here to take the survey – Dr. Mitch gives so generously of his time here on the Stash, the least we could do is to help populate his latest survey.

Sounds like you’ve been ID JACKED!
I doubt Dr. Mitch has anything to do with it….
Tony, I’ll follow up with Dr. Earleywine about this. There is no way he would approve of stealing from vets!
Hey All Vets, Be careful on this one. Originally there was an offer for a free gift and all you had to do was pay shipping of 3.99. Just got my Third bank charge from this, this time another $95.
Shame on those who steal from vets!
Well I wish I knew about this a year ago…
Is Dr. Earleywine about to release the results or something?
That was an interesting survey. I’m glad we’re not being graded! I did limp away from an airplane crash once so now I’m probably nuts!
Very easy and thought provoking indeed, I hope Dr Earlywine will announce when the results are tabulated and reviewed.
Thanks for NORML and the stash again for bringing the good times for the good of all!
Proud to be a stoner,
Doc
Cool survey, I found it interesting. Thanks for the opportunity!
That was kewl
Some of the questions (“do you breathe air?”) are there to make sure you’re not just clicking all the items in a particular column just to finish the survey quicker.
Done. Now where’s my iPod?
Here’s something to mess with your head. What if they were put there to see what different groupings of people would reply with a sarcastic answer and which with the obvious one. eh? eh?
I think those were to make sure you were still awake.
what about click here questions?
IN…….
I love some of the questions, like…
Do you breathe air?
Do you limp away from an airplane accident?
They were truly though provoking and awakened my inner being.
J/K… The survey was great, although I’m not a big fan of “Never” or “Always” questions.
Jeez that was a long survey, I felt the prize thing was a bit sketchy so I did not apply for them and took the survey through 2 proxies located in non U.S. friendly countries. I hope this helps the good DR and the cause. Do the survey guys, if your worried about anonymity use a free online proxy to mask your IP, ie. (www.hidemyass.com)
Keep fighting the good fight.
There were some strange questions on that survey…
“Have you ever taken a drug that doesn’t exist?”
Done. It seems to be focused on mental health issues?
Just wanted to add my comment here from the Fresh Stash:
“Dr. Earleywine’s survey only takes about 20 minutes unless you’re currently popping every drug known to man on a daily basis (more questions to answer if you do).”
Please give Dr. Earleywine a hand as his work (and any hard science) helps us all!
I did that survey. To re-live all the drugs and the year in which I started my use was cool.
All the questions are thought provoking and for some people maybe even life changing.
I recommend this survey for if nothing more than to understand oneself better!
My thoughts are with the people who are trying in their way to help our cause!
All efforts are appreciated even if at the time they don’t seem it.
Thank you to all the unnamed people who put in the effort to make these things happen.
It’s their efforts that as thankless as they are advance the cause in a myriad of ways.
We as a stoner community see this.
My hope is that the people NOT in this community will be able to use this to better understand each other.
Were all just humans after all.
