Thank you for contacting our office. We will always be available to you and are glad to speak with you about your concerns. We have addressed the subject you brought to our attention with careful investigation and consideration.
Although research has shown positive benefits relating to the medical use of marijuana, I continue to support the laws as they currently stand regarding the illegality of the drug. Still, I remain committed to helping you, and I hope you will stay in touch throughout the coming year. If there is anything further I can do for you, or if you would like to weigh in with your concerns, ideas, or opinions, please do not hesitate to call upon me again.
If you have any additional questions or it you would like to talk with a member of our staff about your concerns, please contact us.
Sincerely,
Robert Miklos
So, then, you know marijuana helps sick, disabled, sense-threatened, and dying people, but you still think it’s best that we lock them up?

I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.
NORML should go into his district and promote the representative’s statement that “… research has shown positive benefits relating to the medical use of marijuana …” This might enlighten his constituents to the point that they would begin to ask why the representative denies them the benefits of this medicine by supporting the current laws.
Sorry, ED is too po’ to fund an operation like that.

‘We have addressed the subject you brought to our attention with careful investigation and consideration.”
If you did you wouldn’t still hold the opinion you have. Failure of logic and completely condescending.
Yikes! He acknowledges his awareness of the benefits of cannabis, but he wants to continue imprisoning users?
Don’t send this one back to office, please.
