THCF Marijuana Clinic Opens in Detroit | The NORML Stash Blog

I am the producer of The NORML Network, the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog, and NORML's Outreach Coordinator. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" and I travel across the country to educate people on marijuana reform. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to give voice to the Marijuana Nation and to speak for those who can't speak up.

I raise two kids on my own. And how lucky for me these kids are under my wing . I was diganosed with bipolar, cronic anxiety, and nerve pain from frequent shingles. I also have S.V.T. which is from my cronic anxiety. I tried canabis once when I was younger but was against all drugs so I never done again. More and more I was searching for an alternative for my fast heart rate because of cronic anxiety. Well I tried again after my friend told me take one hit and it will calm me, so finally after my heart was beating so hard and my body was stressed for I dont know what reason I tried again now being Im 31, and ten minutes later I noticed how tight I had my belt, how tight my shoes were tied and how all the weight that use to be on my chest disappeared. I thought no way Im so against this all of my life for what so I can stroke out like all my other family which all had stroke or heart attack.because they were so hyper and high strung.. So used cannabis for year my dR EVEN ASKED WOW YOUR DIFFERENT WHAT HAPPENED IN YOUR LIFE AND I TOLD HIM HE WAS SURPRISED BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE AGAINST THIS BUT ARE THEY AGAINST GIVING SO MANY PEOPLE THESE PILLS WHICH WILL KILL YOU OR DESTROY YOUR LIVER RIGHT AWAY AND THEN YOUR A ZOMBIE. MY DR TOLD ME TO MAKE AN APPOITMENT WITH MMMCC IN DETROIT SO IM WAITING FOR A CALL. PLEASE DONT JUDGE MY CONDITION WITH ANY OTHER BUT ITS THE TRUTH CANNABIS WILL HELP ME LIVE A BETTER LIFE STYLE AND KEEP ME HERE ON THIS PLANET TO DO WHAT IM HERE FOR AND THATS TO RAISE ALL MY KIDS TOO THEIR ON THEIR OWN…. THANK YOU AND POST IF CANNABIS HAS OR IS CHANGING YOUR LIFE. AND I FEEL SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO TAKE THOSE PILLS LIKE I WAS SUPPOSE TO AND LOOK STILL NO HEART ATTACK OR STROKE ALL MY FAMILY HAS RUN INTO THAT EARLIER IN AGE THAN I AM NOW …. THANKS AND GOD BLESS.

I have been seeing a pain specialist the last 4 years, he had me on 300mg morphine a day, plus 325/10 norco 8 a day. Once he found out I was smoking cannabis, he cut me off cold turkey. I am in severe pain, I thought cannabis was a supplement to my pain meds, for chronic back pain. Is what he did legal? I am still going through withdrawals! & can barely function throughout a day. Is what he did legal?

I’ve been on Chemo for stage 3 bladder cancer for 1 1/2 years.after 5 surgeries and radiation I’ve been using natural cannabus effectivly as a pain and nausia reliever, and as an appitite stimulant.I have an accuport surgically implanted in my chest to recieve chemo. My Oncologyst is a good Doc and has helped me to fight my desease effectively with Chemo and subsequent standard medication for the most common side effects.Since I voted for the MM law that has passed, I recently asked him about his oppinion regarding MM,and told him I was allready having great results useing natural cannabus. He said he was uncomfortable giving recomendations regarding MM du to so many un-answered questions regarding it’s use and distibution. He said he was worried that too many people with manufactured illnesses would try to get access and cause a quagmire for his allready over crowded treatment center.(as well as the many still un-answered legal ramifications )
While I don’t want to allienate my doc in any way ,I still need to get access to The MM card now leagal in my state.
I’m worried that my state doesnt have it together enough to provide any real help.
    What do you think?

I suffer from chronic pain and muscle spasms, and have reduced my opiate intake through medical marihuana use. Thank God I can finally be authorized to use my medicine without fear of arrest. The people have spoken, the government needs to LISTEN!
