I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.

These Stoners for Prohibition are modern day quislings and Vichyites. Sell outs like J Craig Canada and others are the Lord Haw Haws of our day.

I have to admit that I didn’t finish reading http://palmspringsbum.org/blog/2010/09/what-marijuana-lawyers-have-to-say-about-californias-proposition-19/ but I see that it is a J Craig article. Can someone save me the trouble and tell me if he actually came up with a reason that we SHOULD keep arresting adults for producing or consuming a plant. I have a hard time framing any argument that ends in “… and that’s why we should continue the drug war on otherwise law abiding citizen, denying Americans their constitutional rights, and further destroy the families and futures of our citizens.”

I am a medical and recreational marijuana consumer and I support Prop 19.

We need full legalization, they decriminalized it in numerous places in the ’70, then they reversed those decisions. Prop 19 is a step in the right direction. Even if Arnold signs the resolution currently on his desk we need for Prop 19 to pass. I can only hope that the citizens of CA who are for legalization register and actually VOTE. When it passes the citizens will have notified their representatives where they stand. Admittedly, there are some things about Prop 19 that could be better but we need to use this as the first domino of the many to follow.

These people are driving me nuts. They can’t seem to get past their own selfishness to realize that this is not about them, this is about all of us. Nobody has ever been this close to legalization. If they can pass it, the dominos will finally begin to fall. Not just for the United States, but for the whole world. Few people realize the effect that the prohibition in the United States has had on the world stage. If it’s legal in the States, the rest will follow.

I’m tired of being seen as a criminal. I want to have the freedom to enjoy my life without others judging me because I smoke an innocuous plant that is safer and more healthy than what is currently accepted.

Russ, keep it up. Knock these guys off their high horses and keep given em the truth. Knowledge is contagious and soon the whole world will see the error of their ways.

  7. Just Legalize It

i never quite understood the “its already basically legal now” argument against prop 19… but then again, neither does any sane person with logical thinking that isnt profiting immensely from it being illegal

Time 4 HEMP had Richard Davis from Hemp Museum fame,on Casper’s great podcast. He gave a rant against Prop 19 that was his “tomato theory” vs. Chris Conrad, Mikki Norris and Rich Lee. The hemp knowledge is wonderful, yet his analysis of prop 19 is incoherent. He’s seems to honour the memory of Jack Herer. My point ,is the tomato voices (tossed salad) starts at Richard Davis . Finally the synthesis, which is the compromise in Prop 19, is written to pass a fearful “body politic”. Sacred cannabis is in a different league than the nightshade tomato plant. Remember, Chris Conrad was the editor/researcher on the “Emperor” manuscript. These loose cannons (tomatoheads) ,are good,as they make NORML look super sane. NORML is SUPER SANE ! We win.

I get tired hearing about these douche bags against legalization. They’re not true stoners. See, I grew up with my dad and other family members that used cannabis. We don’t roll like these SALAD tossers. If one of us is at issue with the law, then we’re all at issue with these BS laws that leave us with no rights. F SALAD! Russ, keep up the good work you do exposing these idiots! :furious:

If Prop 19 somehow fails, I really hope you post their email addresses here (along with Trutanich’s, Feinstein’s, et al) so we can also remind them
