I am the producer of The NORML Network, the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog, and NORML's Outreach Coordinator. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" and I travel across the country to educate people on marijuana reform. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to give voice to the Marijuana Nation and to speak for those who can't speak up.

Looks like I was right about what I said a year and a half ago. I know Mr. Finley and his family. Ran into his wife last week. He has been released after about 3 1/2 years in prison although he will probably be on parole for the rest of his life. Thank god its not Texas, 20 years would mean about that.

My dad was a public defender/criminal defense attorney in Hawaii for many years. He says that in the Islands, thing work differently, and that it may not be as bad as it sounds. He recalled a client who was given 20+ years, and seeing the guy in a coffee shop less than a year later, out on parole. Not so in other states, 20 years means likely at least 10 years incarceration.

Two 20 year terms? What the hell was the second 20 year term for? Oh, maybe the judge thought he shouldn’t be released too soon or NEVER! Sad.

I find it simply amazing to cage a man for growing a plant. I could maybe see a year or so. But imprisoning a man for two concurrent TWENTY YEAR sentences!!!! It’s no wonder America is the most hated nation in the world.
