I am the host of the NORML SHOW LIVE and The NORML Stash Blog. I'm married, live in Portland, Oregon, and I am a registered medical marijuana caregiver in this state. I've worked days as an IT geek and nights as a professional musician. Previously, I have been the host of my own political talk radio show on satellite radio. I've been the High Times "Freedom Fighter of the Month" for my work producing Oregon NORML's TV show, "A Cannabis Community Forum", and for helping to institute Portland's wildly successful medical marijuana cardholders meetings, where we help sick and disabled Oregonians acquire cannabis plant starts, learn gardening, and understand the medical marijuana law. I've dedicated my life to bringing an end to adult marijuana prohibition and re-legalizing cannabis hemp, and I'm honored to be chosen by NORML to be our daily voice.

The drop-offs in the post-25 year old demographic are likely highly influenced by the LEGAL steering of people away from it, along with the employers enforcing said policy. Will be interesting to see what companies’ policies will be like when legal. I suspect fewer large drop-offs in the 26-66 demographic. I think more people would do it if these fears did not exist, and if that means less alcohol consumption, so be it. Safer drug, fewer problems.

I spent 20 years in the military and 20 years working for government contractors at KSC in Florida. During most of that time I smoked at least monthly but the fear of being discharged or fired kept me from more frequent use. I have been retired for the last 10 years and now smoke regularly. Yes it makes me lazy but has never kept me from doing my job. I find that a little before going to sleep lets me sleep much better. Needless to say, I have always been for legalization and now expect I will never enjoy any benefits if it is. In the event it is ever legalized I think it will be similar to the lottery. There will be all this extra money to spend and instead of paying off existing debt the government will just increase spending and the benefits will never be realized by them. I am willing to donate myself to research if it is ever needed. Melvin E. Holliday.

Awww shucks. Seeing that I am in that over 50 bracket, are most of us, including myself, gonna be dead. No! I’m in this fight for legalization until… well, to quote a certain movie… “Give me what I want and I’ll go away.

It’s a little sad to think of it this way, but we’ll probably win when “The Greatest Generation” dies off. They never tried pot and they believed the bs propaganda.

People just don’t defend rights that they don’t use.

You wish people had more principles, but it’s all about whose ox is getting gored.
