Thank you for contacting my office regarding medical marijuana in Wisconsin. I appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts with me and I hope that you will continue to view me as a resource in the legislature.
While I believe that the use of Marijuana for medical purposes can be an effective treatment option for certain ailments, legalizing a controlled substance could pose certain law enforcement and regulatory problems that would affect the public benefit of this legalization. With that said, I am certainly willing to consider this option and I look forward to learning more how this bill could impact our state when this bill comes up for a full discussion in the Senate. I will keep your comments in mind when this issue is discussed and I would welcome any other comments or ideas you have on this issue.
